Happy New Year!

We’re starting things off on a great note with a bit of fan art from Brushimp (@brushimp.bsky.social)! You can find even more great fan creations on the Fandom tab.

Response to Drogune: Fortune’s Lap vol. 1 has been tremendous! Thank you to everyone who has picked up a copy! If you haven’t yet, please start the new year off right with a copy of your own!

So what does the new year hold for Drogune?

The first priority goes to Drogune: Fortune’s Lap vol. 2. In a perfect world we’d see Wynd and the crew of Fortune’s Lap return by the end of the year, but that is a very tall order. There are many new characters, species and settings to develop, let alone fit into eighty new pages of action, adventure, and heart-break. I’ll keep you posted!

Second on the agenda is Drogune: Compendium, an illustrated guide to the lore of the series. This is roughly 50-60% drafted. I want to be sure it is informative as possible without spoiling long-term narrative goals. Once the copy is nailed down I can start looking into illustration costs and production times. Patrons will be getting previews where they can offer input, so consider joining today!

Third is a toss-up between Drogune: Outlaw and Drogune: Tales of the Realms. The former is a reworking of a previous one-shot, currently plotted out for three books. The latter is a collection of short stories set in the Drogune universe. With so much going on neither of these have priority, but I’m still picking away at them bit by bit. With that said, Patrons can read a new rough draft of one of those short stories! The more support we have there, the more Drogune material we can get going!

Thank you again to everyone who has supported us the past ten years, bought the book, and continue to journey with us into 2026 and beyond. I have so many stories to share with you, and I can’t wait for you to see them!

Cheers,
Ian

Drogune: Fortune’s Lap is HERE!

News

At long last Drogune: Fortune’s Lap vol. 1 is here! You can find purchase links for the physical and digital versions in the Read section.

Thank you to everyone who supported us on the long road here. I’ll be doing my best to make sure the next instalment isn’t too long in coming.

Drogune: The First Pass and Drogune: Outlaw have been retired for now. They’ll probably see the light of day in some collection down the line, but one thing at a time.

That said…Drogune: Compendium is being chipped away at bit by bit. The revamp of Drogune: Outlaw is on the table, and the short story collection is being worked on as time allows. Lots of Drogune on the horizon!

But for now, please enjoy this first look into Wynd’s adventures, her life, and her destiny.

Launch Announcement!

News

I’m supremely happy to announced Drogune: Fortune’s Lap vol. 1 will be available for purchase Nov. 10th, 2025.

The book is 80 pages long in black-and-white. There will be a physical edition for $15 USD and digital edition for $10 USD.

Since this will be the “true” start to the series, I will be discontinuing downloads of Drogune: The First Pass and Drogune: Outlaws. If you would like to download them, they are pay-what-you like and available here for one last week.

Thank you for all your patience, support and attention. See you soon!

Updates and News!

News

It’s been quite some time, but it means there’s lots of news to share!

First, let’s talk about the book we’ve all been looking forward to. Drogune, now titled Drogune: Fortune’s Lap is done! Sorta. Mostly. The book is fully drawn, but now comes the editing process to fix typos, visual inconsistencies, and other errors. We’re still shooting for a 2025 release window, so hang tight!

Second, why the name change? I’ve deliberated for a while over the title. Wynd’s story is very important to the overall Drogune universe, but it’s not the only story. As more projects come out I want a clear reference for what each one is and “Drogune of Drogune” bothers me. But now we’ll be running with Drogune: Fortune’s Lap and all is well.

Third, those other stories I mentioned are in the works. Patrons have access to rough drafts of three short stories. Drogune: I’ll Think of the Subtitle Eventually will be collection of these stories and more, and will have a much better title by then. Also, Drogune: Outlaw is getting a ground-up reworking. There’s no time table on Ambru and Ekko’s revised journey, but it’s in the works.

Fourth, Drogune: Compendium is in early production. This book will be an illustrated guide to the Drogune universe covering the grand scope of the Cosmos, details of the realms, the people that live there, and other bits of trivia. This is a big undertaking, so no release date is set yet, but patrons can get a sample of it now over on the Patreon.

There’s so much to look forward to in the near future and well down the line. Thanks for sticking with us, and we’ll share more soon!

Drogune in Spark>Flame!

News

A number of freelancer creators got together to produce sparkFLAME, a comic anthology. In the mix is a five page Drogune adventure! You can pick up a digital copy and pay what you want here!

Patrons can login and access the script for the short story as a peek into the process!

News & Official Art!

News

Drogune: Book One is nearing completion! To celebrate we’re sharing the reference pages for the crew of Fortune’s Lap for you to enjoy! (Our patrons are also getting a sneak peek at two more sheets. You get access to all Patreon-exclusive material upon joining. Juuuuust sayin’).

Unfortunately the good tidings come tinged with disappointing news. Due to various factors – work, illness, injury, possibly goblins – we’re missing the “Spring 2025” release window. We’re focusing on a “Summer 2025” window now, so not much longer of a wait, but we want to make sure we get things done right after all this time.

We’re excited to share more with you as soon as we can!
